SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) – Police say one of three people injured in an overnight shooting at an east South Bend apartment complex has died.

The shooting occurred just before 1 a.m. Sunday in the 200 block of Rue Flambeau near the Prosper Apartments.

In an update late Sunday morning, police said three people were injured in the shooting, one of whom succumbed to his injuries. The victim has not yet been identified.

The shooting remains under investigation. If you have any information, you are asked to call the South Bend Police Detective Bureau at 574-235-9263.

This shooting occurred just hours after officers were called to another shooting in northwest South Bend. Details of that shooting are currently scarce, but we’re told one person was shot and taken to the hospital.
