NEW YORK — Columbia Volleyball and Head Coach Patrick Santiago have announced the times and dates for the 2024 summer camps, and registration is now open. This year’s summer camps include three “Roar Elite Camps” and two “Roar Skills Camps,” which are open to all high school-aged participants.

Roar Elite Camps will be held July 13-14, July 20-21 and July 27-28. Roar Skills Camps will be held July 15-18 and July 22-25.

Roar Elite Camps offer a fast-paced, intense, safe and fun training atmosphere geared toward athletes with a volleyball background who aspire to compete in collegiate competition. Advanced skills and tactics are taught. One court session per day includes a discussion of athletic performance, strength and conditioning or sports nutrition by professionals in their field who have worked with collegiate and professional athletes. Camp staff includes coaches with NCAA, high-level club and professional experience.

The Roar Skills Camps aim to teach and develop the six skills of volleyball to participants of all abilities in a dynamic and positive environment. Passing, individual defense, passing, attacking and blocking are all covered. In addition, team defense, team transition and team serve receiving are also covered. The camp is designed to help players develop confidence in both training and in games.

Campers will benefit from Santiago’s 15 years of experience on the court. Prior to joining the Columbia staff, Santiago spent three years as associate head coach at Duke and 10 years as head coach at Iona and SUNY Farmingdale. During his time on the bench, Santiago coached the 2021 ACC Defensive Player of the Year and, while at Iona, led the Gaels to a historic 2018 season, capping off with a program-record number of wins, the second MAAC championship in program history and an NCAA Tournament appearance. The camp staff also boasts a wealth of high-level club, international and professional experience.

All camps take place at the Dodge Fitness Center. The link to register for the camps and all other necessary information can be found HERE.
