Springfield man pleads guilty to distributing child sexual abuse material Norwalk Police Remind Residents Not to Use Golf Carts on Public Roads

Boston police continue to investigate a brazen shooting in broad daylight that occurred along Columbia Road on Monday (July 1) that left a man with a gunshot wound to the leg that required a tourniquet to be applied by the first officers on the scene.

At 3:59 p.m., police were called to a car parked mid-block on Oldfields Road. The shooting reportedly occurred near Columbia Road and Stanwood Street, near Lila Frederick School, which was closed at the time due to summer vacation.

First responders on scene found a Ford sedan with ballistic damage. The passenger in the vehicle had a gunshot wound to the leg. To stop the heavy bleeding, officers placed a tourniquet on the victim and administered first aid until he was taken to Boston Medical Center by ambulance with a police escort. The victim’s injuries were serious but not life-threatening. However, his current condition is unknown.

An intensive search following the shooting resulted in temporary road closures, but no suspect has yet been identified. Officers found ballistics evidence on Stanwood Street and Columbia Road and noted damage to two cars parked on the street.
