Springfield man pleads guilty to distributing child sexual abuse material Norwalk Police Remind Residents Not to Use Golf Carts on Public Roads

(Lafayette, Louisiana) – If you are traveling on the interstate next week, please be aware of the following information from the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development regarding highway closures.

The I-10 eastbound exit and ramp at Exit 101 (LA 182 – University Avenue) will be closed the following night:

• Sunday, July 7, 8 p.m. to Monday, July 8, 6 a.m., weather permitting.

The ramp closures are necessary to allow workers to perform milling and paving work for the I-10 ramp.

Motorists traveling on I-10 EB can only access LA 182 (University Avenue) via the posted detour route. To do so, you must continue east on I-10 to Exit 103B (I-49/US 90 – Opelousas), then continue to I-49, Exit 1B (I-10 West – Lake Charles), then west on I-10 to Exit 101 (LA 182 – University Avenue).

Motorists traveling on LA 182 (University Avenue) can only access eastbound I-10 via the posted detour route. To do so, take I-10 westbound to Exit 100 (US 167/LA 3184 – Ambassador Caffery Parkway), turn south onto US 167/LA 3184, and then take I-10 eastbound.

Emergency vehicles do not have access to the entrance and exit ramps at Exit 101 (LA 182 – University Avenue).

During ramp closures, diversion routes will be signposted.

This measure does not restrict the width of the vehicle.

DOTD thanks you for your patience and asks that you drive carefully through the construction site and be alert for work crews and their equipment.
