Springfield man pleads guilty to distributing child sexual abuse material Norwalk Police Remind Residents Not to Use Golf Carts on Public Roads

A man wanted for nearly a year in connection with a murder in Vallejo was arrested Saturday, police said.

On September 30, 2023, at approximately 11:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 300 block of Fairgrounds Drive. They also received a call from a local hospital reporting that a male gunshot victim had arrived and was not expected to survive.

The man eventually succumbed to his injuries and died.

After investigating the murder, police named 45-year-old Corey Warren of Vallejo as a suspect. Last October, the Solano County District Attorney’s Office charged Warren and issued a warrant for his arrest.

On Saturday, the Solano County Sheriff’s Office attempted to stop a vehicle near Curtola Parkway and Cherry Street in Vallejo for violating traffic laws, police said. The driver of the vehicle, later identified as Warren, allegedly failed to yield and began a pursuit.

During the chase, Warren lost control of his vehicle and collided with a residential gate, police said. He was arrested near Cherry and Grant streets.

Officers turned Warren over to the Vallejo Police Department and he was subsequently booked into the Solano County Jail on suspicion of several charges, including murder.
