Clyde “Drew” Watson, 87, of White Cottage, passed away peacefully Sunday evening, July 7, 2024, at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville.

Born on July 10, 1936, he was the son of the late Clyde Glasgo Watson and Della B. Mincks. Drew graduated from Antioch High School and went on to study at Marietta College before starting work for Buckeye Pipeline and Ohio Oil Gathering. Drew was a loyal member of the Masons Lodge throughout his life and after his retirement he enjoyed working in his beloved garden and tending his yard and pond.

Drew was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Sidwell-Watson; three sons, Jeff (Janis Clark) Watson, Richard (Teresa) Watson and David “Clark” (Vicki) Watson; six grandchildren, Jordan Watson, Jason (Anne) Watson, Tyler (Rachel) Watson, Bethany (Tony) Cain, Emily (Jacob Miller) Watson and Hannah Watson; and seven great-grandchildren, Lillian, Paxton, Skylan, Owen and Amelia Waston; and Brock and Maxton Cain.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Clark Watson, his late wife Shelba Watson and his great-grandson Brighton Watson.

In order to respect the wishes of their relatives, the family will not hold a public memorial service or a public gathering. They thank you for your understanding during this time.
