Rainfall from Tropical Depression Beryl will soon approach Erie.

The National Weather Service in Cleveland says Erie will be mostly cloudy on Tuesday, with highs in the 30s, with a slight chance of thunderstorms after 3 p.m. into the late afternoon.

Erie is no longer in the projected path of Tropical Depression Beryl, but the storm will still bring rain to the region.

The nighttime low temperature on Tuesday evening will be 20 degrees Celsius and thunderstorms are expected after 4 a.m. Wednesday morning.

These showers will continue on Wednesday morning, and the possibility of thunderstorms and showers will persist throughout the day. The high temperature will reach 30 degrees. Wind speed on Wednesday is expected to reach 13 to 16 km/h.

The lowest temperature on Wednesday will reach 20 degrees, with wind speeds between 11 and 16 km/h.

For Thursday, the National Weather Service is forecasting partly sunny skies with highs around 25 degrees and possible showers before 2 p.m. For the night, the NWS is forecasting a slight chance of showers before 2 a.m. The night will then be partly cloudy with lows around 18 degrees.

A sunny weekend

Sunshine is expected to return on Friday and stay until Sunday.

Sunny weather with mostly clear nights is forecast for this weekend. Temperatures will reach highs of 29 to 29 degrees and lows of 20 to 22 degrees.

How much rain will there be in Erie this week?

The National Weather Service forecasts a total of between 0.25 and 2.5 centimeters of rain for Erie, depending on Beryl’s path.

  • Tuesday night: New precipitation amounts between 0.5 and 1 inch.
  • Wednesday and Wednesday night: New precipitation amounts between 0.5 and 1 inch.
  • Thursday: Rainfall could be less than a tenth of an inch. There is a 20% chance of precipitation Thursday night.

During thunderstorms, higher amounts of precipitation are to be expected.
