Saturday evening, just before 7:00 p.m. CDT, Columbia Police responded to reports of shots fired in the 2600 block of Trimble Road. Late Sunday afternoon, Columbia Police arrested two juveniles in the case.

On Saturday, July 6, 2024, at 6:55 p.m. CDT, Columbia Police responded to a report of shots fired on Trimble Road. Upon arrival, officers spoke with witnesses who stated that shots had been fired. No injuries or property damage were reported in the incident.

On Sunday afternoon, July 7, 2024, Columbia Police arrested two juveniles in connection with the case. One was arrested for first-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon, endangering the welfare of a child, and criminal conduct. The second juvenile was arrested for juvenile delinquency and tampering with evidence, a felony.

Both juveniles were transferred to the Boone County Juvenile Justice Department.
