The National Weather Service is forecasting rain in Erie on Wednesday due to Hurricane Beryl, which has now moved northeast as a post-tropical cyclone.

According to the National Weather Service, there is a chance of thunderstorms in Erie, especially before 5 p.m. The day will be mostly sunny, however, with highs of around 31 degrees.

On Wednesday, winds will reach about 8 to 11 mph by afternoon.

The amount of precipitation expected for Wednesday is between 0.25 and 0.35 millimeters, but could be higher during the thunderstorms.

Showers and thunderstorms are likely in Erie Wednesday night, with a 60% chance of precipitation. The night will be mostly cloudy, with a low of 20 degrees.

Rainfall is still expected to be less than 0.25 millimeters, but could increase during the storms. Wind speeds on Wednesday evening will be between 14 and 22 kilometers per hour.

More rain showers on Thursday

For Thursday, the National Weather Service predicts a higher chance of rain before 11 a.m., with a 40% chance of precipitation. The day will be mostly cloudy, with a high of 24 degrees.

The amount of precipitation on Thursday is estimated at less than 0.25 millimeters. The wind speed on Thursday will reach up to 27 kilometers per hour.

Sunshine returns on Friday and stays all weekend

Once Erie reaches Friday, the sun will shine again. Sunny weather is forecast for Friday with highs of 28 degrees. Winds will only reach about 10 mph.

The night into Friday will be mostly clear with a minimum temperature of around 20 degrees Celsius.

On Saturday the sun will remain sunny and the maximum temperature will be around 30 degrees. The night into Saturday will be mostly clear and the minimum temperature will be around 20 degrees.

Sunday will also be sunny with maximum temperatures around 30 degrees.

Return of the thunderstorms

Thunderstorms are likely in Erie from Sunday night through Tuesday.

The National Weather Service predicts a 40 to 50% chance of precipitation. Maximum temperatures will be between 30 and 31 degrees, and minimum temperatures will be 22 degrees.
