COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) – In today’s Look at Local Living, the Cayce Police Department is hosting its annual school supply drive.

They are accepting donations for students in Lexington’s Second School District at the Lavern Jumper Road police station.

You can donate items such as pencils, pens, backpacks, folders and more.

Sandhills Medical Foundation is hosting a back to school party this Saturday.

It will take place from 9 a.m. to noon at their location on Baldwin Avenue in Lugoff.

Your children must be there to pick up their free school supplies while supplies last.

Games, face painting, lots of popcorn and much more await you.

The program emphasizes the importance of summer reading for children of all ages.

It will take place on Friday, July 12th from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Drew Wellness Center.

The Alzheimer’s Association of South Carolina is hosting its 16th annual Ride to End Alzheimer’s event this week.

From July 12-14, over 400 cyclists will travel through the Midlands and Palmetto State to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Association.

According to officials, they have already raised over $832,000 of their $1.5 million goal.
