Information about the event

Help us raise funds for the American Cancer Society and save more lives! Over the past 25 years, the Coaches vs. Cancer program with the University of Notre Dame basketball team has raised over $4.9 million for the American Cancer Society.

This year, we were proud to partner with Micah Shrewsberry, the brand new head coach of the University of Notre Dame men’s basketball team, to usher in a new era for our Coaches vs. Cancer program!

A Celebration of Hope, hosted by Coach Shrewsberry, includes the two signature events Coach and the American Cancer Society host each August – Night of the Stars and the Coaches vs. Cancer Golf Classic. In 2023, the Coaches vs. Cancer Golf Classic and Night of the Stars events raised an incredible and record-breaking $440,000! Thank you to everyone who has continued the fight against cancer.

In 2024, we will begin the celebration on Monday, July 29th with Night of the Stars at the Four Winds Casino Hotel in South Bend. This event will honor four extraordinary individuals who are making significant contributions in the fight against cancer. Guests at this event will enjoy a delicious meal prepared by the talented Four Winds Casino culinary team, an open bar, a carefully curated auction of one-of-a-kind items and a program that promises to inspire.

Then on Tuesday, July 30, we will round out our CvC experience with the Coaches vs. Cancer Golf Classic at a new and exciting location, the Warren Golf Course on the campus of the University of Notre Dame. Our foursomes will have an unparalleled golf experience on the golf course, including shopping in a player gift suite, lunch, on-course play, culinary treats and player gifts.
