Have you heard the exciting news? The expERIEnce Children’s Museum is opening Phase II of its expansion this weekend, and you don’t want to miss it! We had the chance to take a tour earlier this week, and can tell you that the added exhibits are super cool and perfect for a fun day with the kids. We love that there are exhibits for younger and older kids (suitable for tweens!). The designers also thought about accessibility at every step, from the exhibits to the restrooms. And if you’re breastfeeding? There are special areas for you, too!❤️

A look inside:

The craft tank

Here, your little inventors can explore invention cabinets, create unique devices from recycled materials, and even showcase their inventions at the Invent-It booth. It’s all about hands-on learning and encouraging creativity!

Erie Recycling

Children can get hands-on experience recycling plastics. They’ll love playing with a child-sized garbage truck, sorting plastics, and learning how recycling works through interactive games.

Test station

Launch foam rockets, experiment with paper airplanes, and learn the basics of flight through exciting activities like parachute drops. I’ve found that it’s fun for kids and adults alike!

The smART Studio

If your child is interested in art, the smART Studio is a must-see. From creating spin art with a very cool bike to designing virtual cityscapes, there is something for every budding artist to unleash their creativity.

Construction site

Do you have a future engineer? They’ll love the Construction Zone! They can build structures, try out real tools, explore power generation, and even test their creations in simulated earthquakes. It’s all about hands-on fun and learning how things work.

Excited yet? Us too! We can’t wait to see this place filled with kids playing, learning and making memories. Come out this weekend for the grand opening celebration – it’s going on all weekend long!
