NORWALK, CT — A Norwalk middle school guidance counselor was arrested Thursday for allegedly having “an inappropriate relationship with a female student,” police said.

In a press release, Police Sergeant Ryan Evarts said the department received a report on April 30 that a Norwalk Public Schools employee had an inappropriate relationship with a student.

The department’s Special Victims Unit took over the investigation and found that Luisa Melchionne, 47, of New Canaan, a guidance counselor at Nathan Hale Middle School, had sexual relations with a male student, Evarts said.
