SPOKANE, Washington – The City of Spokane and Mayor Lisa Brown have named Kevin Hall as the new Spokane Police Chief.

Kevin Hall brings to this role his experience as Deputy Police Chief in Tucson, Arizona, where he served for over 30 years.

“I am deeply honored to be selected as Spokane’s Police Chief and want to thank Mayor Brown, her staff, and the search committee for their time and effort in this nationwide search. I intend to bring a passion for collaboration, innovation, data-driven strategies, and values-based policing to Spokane,” Hall said.

The search was completed when Mayor Lisa Brown narrowed the selection down to four final candidates and ultimately selected Hall for the position.

“It has become clear from feedback from the public and department staff that our community wants a leader who demonstrates character, integrity and a sense of responsibility, who will bring best practices to the department and who will be committed to the safety of everyone in our community. Chief Hall is that leader and I am grateful that he has agreed to take on this role,” said Mayor Brown.

Hall has extensive experience in special services, home invasion, homicide, SWAT, child abuse, mental health support and more.

The expected launch date of Chief Hall is September 1st.
