The PSNI has released a list of roads across Belfast that will be affected by disruption due to the city’s annual July 12 celebrations.

They have announced that numerous small feeder parades will be held in all areas prior to the parades in the outer districts.




They are as follows:

Sandy Row – The parade starts at 10:45am from the Sandy Row Orange Hall and moves along Sandy Row, Hope Street, Bruce Street, Great Victoria Street and College Square East to Wellington Place where it joins the main parade.

Parades in the North Belfast district – Carlisle Circus area from 9:00am.

East Belfast/Ballymacarett – The parade starts at 8.15am on Templemore Avenue and proceeds along Newtownards Road, Bridge End, Queen Elizabeth Bridge, Ann Street, Victoria Street, High Street, Bridge Street, North Street, Peters Hill, Shankill Road, North Boundary Street and Denmark Street to Carlisle Circus to lead the main parade.

West Belfast / Shankill – The parade starts at 9:30am from the West Belfast Orange Hall and moves along Shankill Road, Peters Hill and North Street to Royal Avenue where it joins the main parade.

South Belfast/Ballynafeigh – The parade starts at 9:30am from Ballynafeigh Orange Hall and proceeds along Ormeau Road, Stranmillis Embankment, Holylands, Botanic Avenue, Donegall Pass, Ormeau Road/Avenue, Linenhall Street, Donegall Square South, Donegall Square East and Donegall Square North towards City Hall where it joins the main parade.

Main parade for 12 July in Belfast

The grand July 12th parade will start at 10am from the Belfast Orange Hall in Carlisle Circus and proceed along Clifton Street, Donegall Street, Royal Avenue and Donegall Place to City Hall where a wreath laying ceremony will take place at the Cenotaph.

At 10:50am the parade will pass along Donegall Square North, Donegall Square West, Bedford Street, Dublin Road, Shaftsbury Square, Bradbury Place, Lisburn Road, Balmoral Avenue and Malone Road to Barnett’s Demesne.

At 3.30pm the main parade begins its return journey from Barnett’s Demesne, travelling along Malone Road, Balmoral Avenue, Marlborough Park, Lisburn Road, Bradbury Place, Shaftsbury Square, Great Victoria Street, Bruce Street, Bedford Street, Donegall Square North, Donegall Place, Royal Avenue, Donegall Street and Clifton Street, finishing at Carlisle Circus.

During the return parade, the districts branch off back to their own territories at various points.

Additionally, the Orange Fest will take place on the grounds of Belfast City Hall between 10am and 4pm.
