Ruoff Mortgage Homestand Preview: July 23-28 Winner of the Columbia-Adair Chamber Award

Starting Monday, all locations will have new drinks and a limited edition Laksa broth.

A self-service, pay-by-weight hot pot chain is about to open another location in Richmond after just one year, with plans for a third location already in the works.

Richmond’s second Big Way Hot Pot branch on Ackroyd Road, next to PriceSmart Foods, will open on Monday 15 July.

The popular chain is known for its build-your-own hotpot experience with over 100 ingredients, including vegetables, proteins and noodles.

Guests can choose from 10 different broths and their stews are cooked in the kitchen by staff. Complimentary ice cream is also offered after each meal.

The chain opened its third location in the Lower Mainland on No. 3 Road last July, its first outside of Burnaby.

Christiana Luo, co-founder and CMO of Big Way Group Inc., said opening a second location in Richmond was “a natural decision.”

“We have received tremendous community support at our existing location and believe Richmond’s vibrant and diverse population will benefit from more convenient access to our services,” she said.

“In fact, we are already in the planning stages for a third location in Richmond to better meet the needs of our customers.”

Coinciding with Monday’s opening will be the debut of Big Way’s limited-time Laksa broth and three new beverages, which will be available at all locations.

The address of Richmond’s second Big Way Hot Pot is 175-8100 Ackroyd Rd. A grand opening ceremony will be held on August 16.
