BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – Broward County Film Commissioner Sandy Lighterman has been re-elected president of Film Florida. The announcement was made at Film Florida’s annual meeting held at the Cocoa Beach Hilton Oceanfront in Cocoa Beach, Florida.

The Film Florida Board of Directors (and its alternate board members) for 2024-2025 are located in fourteen different Florida counties stretching from Escambia County (Pensacola) to Monroe County (Key West).

Lighterman commented, “We want to continue to send the message that Florida is open for business with experienced employees, diverse locations and ancillary companies that meet the needs of the industry.

I look forward to continuing to work side-by-side with industry professionals and our educational partners as we continue to look for ways to strengthen Florida’s film production industry. Our industry has a long history in the state and remains an important part of Florida’s economic growth and diversification. We look forward to competing for well-paying jobs in the film production industry.”
