Student teachers work with international students at the NASA/GLOBE Annual Meeting NBI warns public about online loan fraud

The Vitalant Race Against the Clock blood drive runs through Friday, July 12. Vitalant officials say they will be holding blood drives throughout our community this week, and you can schedule an appointment in your area or come to Lafayette.

Did you know that in the United States, someone needs a pint of blood every two seconds? Another interesting fact about blood is that blood travels 60,000 miles in our bodies as it flows through our vessels!

While supplies last, each person who donates blood will receive a T-shirt and a voucher for a pint of Blue Bell ice cream.

There are several prizes that participants can register to win, including the following:

****$30,000 for the car/truck/SUV of your choice

  • Deano’s Gift Cards
  • Top Golf Gift Cards
  • Nothing Bundt Cakes Gift Cards
  • Escape Room Gift Vouchers
  • Kart Ranch Gift Cards
  • Chris’ Poboys Gift Cards
  • Todd’s Car Wash Gift Cards
  • More gift voucher prices

If you donate half a pint of blood, you save three lives. According to Vitalant.org, one in seven hospital patients needs blood during their entire hospital stay.
